What is in store for the future? Why are we experiencing a global pandemic? What could possibly be the purpose of God in this?
Jesus described a difficult future for his people, and indeed for all people on the earth. However, those difficulties serve a greater purpose of glorifying God through the salvation of souls and the faithfulness of his people.
Jesus announced to the disciples that the temple in Jerusalem would be destroyed. This of course cause them to ask two questions:
- When will these things be, and
- What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?
Jesus answered their question providing them will essential lessons that His church would need to understand throughout the coming centuries. As was typical with Jesus, he did not indulge their desire for details, rather he gave them what was most important to know concerning those things.
Join with us as we walk through scripture together to learn these lessons:
- We must be found faithful.
- We can trust God.
- We must view all things in light of God’s plan.
