Paul’s Defense
- He had done nothing wrong. Acts 28:17, 22:3, 23:1, 24:16, 25:8, 25:10, Philippians 3:6.
- His reputation was spotless. Acts 28:21, 28:30, 23:1.
- The Roman authorities had no charges against him. Acts 28:18, 23:29, 26:31-32.
- He had nothing against his nation. Acts 28:19, 28:30, 11:29-30, 20:16, 24:17; Romans 9:1-5, 10:1-2, 15:25-26.
- His hope was in the truth of the scriptures as fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Acts 28:20, 28:23, 23:6, 24:15, 26:8, 26:23; 2 Samuel 7:1-17; Psalm 2:1-12, 110:1.
Our Hope
- Have you studied these things? Can you truly know your Savior without understanding these things?
- Do you have the hunger to know and understand these things? What kind of soil are you? Mark 4:1-20; 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
